Upper Kedron resident says construction traffic has disrupted a once-quiet area

A resident of Ellendale, a masterplanned community in Upper Kedron, Brisbane, says construction traffic has disrupted the quiet she expected when she bought her home.

Upper Kedron is about 15 kilometres from the suburb of Kedron and is surrounded on three sides by D’Aguilar National Park.

The resident says the area was quiet in 2019, but new homes and development have changed it.

She says heavy dump trucks now pass her house six days a week, rattling the windows and making noise until 6.30pm.

She installed a double-glazed entryway to help keep the noise out.

The traffic is linked to expanding development and a water reservoir project that will provide infrastructure for the estate.

The project is expected to continue until late 2027.
