Singapore PM2.5 readings return to normal across the island

Singapore’s one-hour PM2.5 readings returned to normal islandwide by 8am on Sunday, Nov 1.

The west briefly entered the elevated band at 5am and 6am, with readings reaching 59.

At 8am, the 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index was between 68 and 86, in the moderate range.

The National Environment Agency said moderate haze remained over parts of Kalimantan, while showers across the region were expected to keep haze subdued.

The agency forecast a 24-hour PSI of 51 to 70 for Sunday and said people could continue usual outdoor activities.

People should check the PSI for planning and PM2.5 for immediate conditions; when PM2.5 is elevated, vulnerable groups should avoid strenuous outdoor activity for that period.
