Azamat Bekoev withdraws from UFC Vegas 123 after medical emergency
Azamat Bekoev has withdrawn from UFC Vegas 123 after a medical emergency.
The 30-year-old Russian said he suffered an anaphylactic reaction, passed out inside a CVS store and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Bekoev had been scheduled to fight American middleweight Andre Petroski on the undercard in Las Vegas on October 31.
The bout has been removed from the card, which will still be headlined by Renato Moicano and Tom Nolan.
Bekoev apologized to Petroski and fans, and said he would focus on recovering because his health comes first.
Petroski will not face a replacement opponent at this event.
He is scheduled to fight Mantas Kondratavicius at UFC Vegas 124 on November 7.
