Kelsey Grammer to Star in NBC EMT Drama in Development
NBC is developing “Pops,” an emergency medicine drama starring Kelsey Grammer.
Grammer will play a man who leaves a successful career and joins emergency responders in his 60s.
The series is based on Maryland resident Ed Levien’s true story: after retiring from advertising, he worked as an EMT for 12 years and retired at 76.
Danny Weiss, who worked on “Chicago Med,” will write and executive produce the series.
“Pops” is in development, not yet announced as a series order, and Universal Television is the studio.
