Toto Wolff’s nine-year-old son unhurt after karting crash in Italy

Nine-year-old Jack Wolff was involved in a serious kart crash during an IAME series event in Viterbo, Italy.

He was racing in the X30 Mini category when his kart collided with Moroccan driver Elgahoudi Nagy on the final lap of a qualifying heat.

A trailing driver’s kart went over Jack and struck his shoulder, after British driver Dimitar Uzunov could not avoid the crash.

Jack got out of his kart and walked away, then received minor medical treatment.

He was reported to be unhurt and keen to race again at the event the next day.

Jack is the son of Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff and F1 Academy managing director Susie Wolff.

He had won his first championship the previous month, in the IAME Series Italy X30 U10 category.
