Jamie Melham suspended and set to miss Coolmore Stud Stakes
Jockey Jamie Melham received a four-meeting suspension after stewards found her guilty of careless riding at Randwick on Saturday.
The incident happened near the 300-metre mark of the Sydney Stakes, when her horse Marhoona interfered with Coal Crusher.
The suspension rules her out of the Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington on October 31, where she was due to ride Satono Glow.
The penalty follows an earlier suspension this month, also for careless riding, which meant Melham missed Caulfield Guineas day.
She can still ride in the Cox Plate at Moonee Valley before the new suspension begins.
She is also set to return for the Melbourne Cup at Flemington on November 3.
