Danny Trejo reportedly pushed back against offensive lines in Daily Wire film

Danny Trejo is starring in Pawn Shop, an upcoming film produced by the conservative media company The Daily Wire.

The movie has been described as an anti-immigrant, pro-ICE action film.

Trejo’s son said the actor was told it was about a pawn shop owner trying to ease racial tensions, and did not know the film’s political message.

Trejo reportedly cannot leave because of his contract, but a person close to the production says he has pushed for changes to the script.

That person says Trejo refused to deliver some lines, though the account has not been independently confirmed.

Some crew members reportedly left the production after learning The Daily Wire was involved.
