SONA ends co-founder Omid Kahali’s role as investigation remains unfinished
Festival organizer SONA Worldwide has ended co-founder Omid Kahali’s role while an independent investigation is still under way.
SONA, which organizes dance events including No Art and GOLFOS in Zaandam, said Kahali had not been operationally involved since early August.
The investigation began in August after SONA received unspecified concerns about Kahali.
The company has not said what those concerns were, and the investigation has not produced findings.
SONA has not explained why it made the departure final now or whether the investigation influenced its decision.
Kahali’s shares will be taken over by the remaining shareholders, and the company will be led by its other founders, Bora Güney and Ruud Boymans.
The investigation’s findings have no announced release date, and SONA says they may take some time.
