Dark is praised for its tightly resolved Netflix finale
Dark is praised as Netflix’s strongest series finale in a comparison with the platform’s other shows.
The German sci-fi drama runs for three seasons and 26 episodes.
Its story begins with a child’s disappearance in Winden, a small German town where a cave enables time travel.
The show follows a large cast across three timelines: 1953, 1986 and 2019.
Its conclusion is tragic rather than happy, but it brings the complex story together.
Unlike Netflix shows that were canceled before their stories ended, Dark reaches a conclusion that the piece describes as fitting.
