Sarah Kuttner to undergo four-and-a-half months of chemotherapy
German presenter and author Sarah Kuttner has been diagnosed with breast cancer in her right breast.
A test found that her tumour was more active than doctors first thought, so hormone therapy and surgery alone were not considered enough.
She is due to have four and a half months of chemotherapy, with a port to be placed this week.
Kuttner expects to lose her hair during treatment and said she will have none by Christmas Eve.
Part of her podcast tour planned for spring 2027 is cancelled because treatment may weaken her immune system and require her to avoid crowds.
She plans to continue her podcast with journalist Stefan Niggemeier and may discuss her illness there.
The operation is planned for after chemotherapy.
Sarah Kuttner said test results showed her breast tumour was more active than first thought, so she will undergo chemotherapy.
The 47-year-old said the treatment is planned to last four and a half months, with a port to be placed this week.
