Cyril Hanouna faces complaint over on-air targeting of Ouest-France journalist
A French rights group filed a criminal complaint against TV host Cyril Hanouna on October 29.
The complaint concerns remarks he made on W9’s program Tout beau, tout neuf about Ouest-France journalist Maxime Fettweis.
Fettweis had written about political subjects discussed on Hanouna’s show, despite M6’s stated plan to focus it on entertainment.
Hanouna said on air that his team had looked into the journalist and discussed his work history, then mentioned taking selfies with him and his family.

It accuses Hanouna of offences including public defamation, insults and harassment, and has asked prosecutors to open an investigation.
The complaint is now before the Paris prosecutor’s office; no response from Hanouna, M6 or H2o Productions was reported.
