Final Fantasy XIV: Evercold delayed to February 23, 2027
Square Enix delayed Final Fantasy XIV's next expansion, Evercold, from its planned January 2027 release.
The game’s sixth expansion is now set to launch on February 23, 2027, with early access beginning on February 19.
The new dates were announced at Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest in Japan.
Evercold continues the story of the online role-playing game and will bring new features and gameplay changes.
The expansion also adds new jobs, including Zephyr, a ranged fighter who uses a crossbow and an avian companion, as well as a Tank job called Bastion.
Its announced crossover raid series will feature Neon Genesis Evangelion and Final Fantasy VII.
Pre-orders open on November 4, 2026, with bonus items to be revealed later.
