Ferrovial joins Thames Water framework worth nearly £5bn
Ferrovial has joined a Thames Water contract framework with British firm Binnies to carry out water infrastructure work.
The framework is valued at £4bn and includes nine companies or groups, so that figure is not Ferrovial’s individual contract value.
Thames Water supplies 16 million customers in London and nearby areas.
Projects may include improving treatment plants, building water pipes and pumping stations, and engineering work.
The work addresses ageing infrastructure that loses water and needs upgrades to prevent river pollution.
Contracts are expected to be signed on November 3, initially running until March 2030, with a possible five-year extension.
