Janhvi Kapoor faces backlash over dating advice on Koffee With Karan

Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan appeared on Koffee With Karan during a rapid-fire segment.

Host Karan Johar asked Kapoor what dating advice she would give Veer Pahariya.

She said, “Never take her to a concert,” without explaining the remark.

Some viewers took it as a dig at Tara Sutaria, Pahariya’s former girlfriend, and criticised Kapoor online.

Sutaria and Pahariya confirmed their relationship on Instagram in July 2025 and reportedly split six months later.

Their breakup followed attention on a concert clip showing Sutaria with singer AP Dhillon; Pahariya said the footage of his reaction came from another part of the concert, while Sutaria criticised what she called false narratives and paid PR campaigns.
