Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foo Fighters Play Benefit for Music School

Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foo Fighters performed at a benefit concert at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The show marked 25 years of the Silverlake Conservatory of Music, co-founded in 2001 by Chili Peppers bassist Flea and Keith “Tree” Barry.

The nonprofit provides music education and scholarships to aspiring musicians in Los Angeles.

It serves more than 900 students each week, with over 200 receiving scholarships, according to one account.

The Chili Peppers played several rare songs, while Dave Grohl and his Foo Fighters bandmates revived their cover of “Baker Street” for the first time since 2007.

The concert raised money to help the conservatory provide lessons to children in need.
