Mexican security firm funds breast cancer screenings for employees

Mexican private security company Serprosep is funding mammograms for its female employees as part of a breast cancer detection campaign.

The company is paying the full cost and helping workers arrange the screenings, which can be difficult to fit around demanding shifts and family responsibilities.

Some security guards have already had the exams, while others still need to complete them using company-funded certificates.

Health guidance cited in the story recommends mammograms every two years for women aged 40 to 69.

Breast cancer killed more than 8,400 people in Mexico in 2024, making early detection an important health issue.

Serprosep says protecting its workforce includes supporting employees’ health, and argues that healthier teams also support productivity and continued operations.
