Police find 100 kilos of cocaine in Barendrecht warehouse

Police found 100 kilos of cocaine in Barendrecht on Monday evening, in a warehouse and a nearby home.

The discovery came during a police raid on a business property on Gebroken Meeldijk.

Officers also found a truck trailer with drug-making equipment, and some cocaine was reportedly hidden in a container’s double floor.

Police seized the drugs and equipment, and eight people were arrested in the property’s garage.

The suspects include three men from Rotterdam, three from Barendrecht, one from Dordrecht and one with no fixed address; they are aged 17 to 52.

The warehouse was guarded overnight, and a specialist team cleared it on Tuesday.
