The Beatles Story plans larger Liverpool attraction for 2028
Apple Corps plans a new Beatles Story in Liverpool as a larger home for the long-running Beatles attraction.
It will move from Albert Dock in 2028 to the former St Johns Market site, opposite Liverpool Lime Street station.
The new attraction is planned for a 100,000-square-foot site, more than four times the current size.
Visitors will follow the band’s story from post-war Liverpool and Hamburg through Beatlemania and international fame, using original artefacts, technology and reconstructed sets.
Some sets and props will come from Sam Mendes’ Beatles films, which are due in cinemas in April 2028.
St Johns Beacon will host a Yellow Submarine-themed panoramic view of the city.
The plans are also intended to help regenerate Liverpool city centre, and the attraction is due to open in 2028.

What people are saying
Just like Graceland or Dollywood, it’s fitting that The Beatles will have a world class destination for fans to visit in the center of the city where the story started.
It couldn’t have happened without Liverpool and I can’t wait for people to be able to step into our story and share the experience.
What we have to resist is the Disneyfication of Liverpool, the Disneyfication of the Beatles.
I’m not sure that story’s been told.
