Jack Ham hospitalized after medical emergency in Seattle

Hall of Fame linebacker Jack Ham was hospitalized after a medical emergency in Seattle on Saturday.

Ham, 77, was in the city as a radio analyst for Penn State’s football game against Washington.

The University of Washington Medical Center treated him, and Penn State did not initially share further details about his condition.

Penn State coach Matt Campbell later said Ham was in stable condition after the 28-25 win.

Campbell credited play-by-play announcer Steve Jones with helping Ham, calling his actions heroic.

Ham played for Penn State and later won four Super Bowls with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He has worked as a Penn State radio analyst since 2000 and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1988.
