Aicox plans a Spanish defence group valued at about €400 million
Spanish company Aicox is planning a new defence group focused on tactical military communications and electronic warfare.
It is in advanced talks to integrate up to seven companies, whose names have not been disclosed.
The combined group is expected to be worth about €400 million and would bring together three medium-sized companies and four smaller ones.
Aicox’s owner, the Laborda family, is working with investment firm Senda Investment Partners on a planned capital increase of about €250 million, though the family’s final ownership share is not settled.
The group aims to build the scale needed to compete for large Spanish military contracts and potentially take part in international programmes.
It also plans two factories in Madrid: one in San Agustín de Guadalix is expected to open in the second quarter of 2027, while another is planned for late 2028 or early 2029.
