Fire reported at oil station in Russia’s Tambov region after drone attack

A drone attack caused a fire in Russia’s Tambov region, Governor Yevgeny Pervyshov said on Tuesday.

Reports identified the site as the Nikolskoye oil station, but the governor did not name the facility.

The station is operated by Transneft and is part of the Druzhba pipeline network, which carries Russian oil to parts of Eastern and Central Europe.

Pervyshov said no one was injured.

Ukrainian authorities had not confirmed an attack, and the station was not independently verified as the site of the fire.

Ukraine previously attacked the station in August 2025, when a Ukrainian military commander said the strike halted operations on the pipeline.
