Tour bus hits souvenir stand near Trafalgar Square

A Golden Tours double-decker bus hit a souvenir stand near Trafalgar Square in central London on Thursday.

The crash happened on Spring Gardens, near The Admiralty pub, and the stand sells souvenirs and tickets for sightseeing tours.

An eyewitness said the bus hit a lamppost before striking the stand and pushing it into a vehicle.

A black 4x4 or Range Rover was also involved, though accounts differ on the vehicle description.

No injuries were reported, and the ambulance service did not attend.

The crash damaged street furniture and the stand, and firefighters and police went to the scene.

Golden Tours is investigating what caused the crash and said it would provide more information after establishing the facts.
