Eric Bischoff Says Tony Khan and Vince McMahon Share Passion for Wrestling

Eric Bischoff, a former senior executive at World Championship Wrestling, compared two leaders in professional wrestling: AEW president Tony Khan and former WWE chairman and CEO Vince McMahon.

Bischoff said both men are deeply passionate about the industry and expect similar commitment from people working with them.

He said McMahon would struggle to understand someone working at WWE without passion for the product, and said Khan appears to share that outlook.

Bischoff also said there are major differences between the two, but did not explain what they are.

McMahon stepped down from WWE in 2024 after a former employee accused him of sexual assault and trafficking; he has denied the allegations, according to the source.

The civil lawsuit moved to private arbitration in June.

AEW's media deal is due to expire sometime after the start of 2028, and what happens to its content after that remains unclear.
