ISA Energia reports R$1.9 billion profit, including a non-cash gain
Brazilian power-transmission company ISA Energia reported R$1.9 billion in third-quarter profit, up 246.3% from a year earlier.
About R$1.28 billion came from an accounting gain tied to a July exchange of holdings with Axia Energia, and did not bring cash into the company.
Excluding that gain, profit was R$625.5 million, 13.7% higher than in the same quarter of 2025.
The company says it will leave the one-off gain out of the profit used to calculate dividends.
Revenue rose 40.9% to R$1.51 billion, helped by bringing the IE Madeira transmission concession fully into its accounts and by three projects entering operation.
The deal gave ISA full ownership of IE Madeira, which operates 2,385 kilometres of power lines, while ISA gave up its stake in IE Garanhuns.
The higher underlying profit and revenue reflect new operating assets, while the headline profit is much larger because of the non-cash accounting effect.
ISA Energia Brasil reported regulatory net profit of R$1.905 billion in the third quarter of 2026, up 246.3% from a year earlier.
A non-cash accounting gain related to a stake exchange with Axia Energia contributed R$1.279 billion after tax to the result.
Excluding that gain, profit was R$625.5 million, up 13.7%, and will be the basis for calculating dividends.
Net revenue rose 40.9% to R$1.511 billion, supported by the consolidation of IE Madeira and new projects entering operation.
