Nvidia says RTX 5090 will continue shipping despite supply constraints
Nvidia says its RTX 5090 graphics card is not discontinued, even as supply becomes harder to secure.
An unnamed board partner reportedly cannot order the GPU and memory kits needed to build the card, including on backorder.
The partner said it has received no notice that production is ending, but does not know when orders might resume.
A cooling supplier reported lower planned orders for RTX 5090 coolers in early 2027 and no orders for the following quarter.
These signs suggest the flagship card may become harder to find, but they do not prove that production has stopped or that every board partner is affected.
Nvidia says shipments will continue, while its production capacity remains constrained.
It is not yet clear whether the company will resume accepting orders for the component kits.

A board partner told tech blogger Roman “der8auer” Hartung that it could no longer order the GPU and memory kits used to build the card, even on backorder.
The unnamed partner said it had received no end-of-life notification but did not know whether Nvidia would resume accepting orders.
A cooling-system supplier said two board partners had reduced projected RTX 5090 cooler orders for the first quarter of 2027, and it had received no orders for the second quarter.
The reports do not establish that production has stopped or that the ordering restrictions affect all Nvidia board partners.
