Saizeriya to raise menu prices by an average of 6% from October 29

Japanese restaurant chain Saizeriya will raise most menu prices by an average of 6% from October 29.

The increase applies to its main menu across Japan, while prices at 24 locations near leisure facilities or in urban areas will rise by an average of 10%.

A serving of Milan-style doria will cost 320 yen, up from 300 yen.

The chain says higher ingredient and energy costs have made it difficult to keep absorbing rising expenses while maintaining product quality and steady supply.

Lunch, breakfast menus and fresh wine are excluded and will stay at their current prices.

The new prices take effect on October 29.
