Iberia caps fares and adds flights to Andalucía after Toledo train crash

Two high-speed trains collided in Urda, in Spain’s Toledo province, leaving dozens dead.

The crash disrupted travel between Madrid and Andalucía, a region in southern Spain.

Iberia has capped fares on flights to and from Andalucía until 8 November, at €99 for economy and €149 for business class.

Iberia has added 520 seats, including extra capacity on flights between Madrid and Málaga and between Madrid and Seville.

It has also scheduled two extra flights between Madrid and Málaga, while Air Europa has added flights to Málaga and Seville.

The airlines are offering more seats and lower fare limits as passengers seek alternatives to rail travel.

Iberia says it will provide flexibility for passengers whose plans were affected, and may add more capacity in the coming days.
