Real Betis win puts them fifth in the Champions League and above Chelsea in UEFA ranking

Real Betis beat Feyenoord to make it three wins from three in the Champions League.

The Spanish club has nine points and is fifth in the league phase, with five matches still to play.

The top 24 teams advance, and the top eight go straight to the last 16, avoiding a playoff.

Before the season, LaLiga budgeting assumptions cited in the report expected Betis to earn five points and finish outside the top 24.

Their strong start could bring extra revenue, but estimates of €70 million to €75 million depend on results, final position and other income; participation and match wins have already earned the club €24.9 million.

Betis has also moved to 19th in the five-year club ranking, ahead of Chelsea, though several teams are close behind.

Spain is provisionally second in the national association rankings, and a top-two finish could give Spain an extra Champions League place in 2027/28; the race is still open.
