Zelensky says Ukraine’s territorial issues must be discussed by leaders

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says Ukraine is ready for three-way talks with the United States and Russia to seek an end to the war.

He said technical groups should produce concrete results, and that an energy ceasefire could be an important step.

Territorial questions must be discussed only by leaders, while other issues can go to technical groups.

Zelensky said limits on Ukraine’s military and Ukrainian neutrality are not open for discussion, and called for strong security guarantees.

A temporary truce in Oleshky is due to begin on October 27 to let humanitarian aid reach residents of the city in the Russian-occupied Kherson region.

Zelensky said the truce, proposed by the United States, would last a few days and that roads need to be cleared of mines so aid teams can enter and people can be evacuated.
