Geerets De Leeuw taxi company declared bankrupt

A court declared Geerets De Leeuw bankrupt on Monday after the taxi company applied for bankruptcy itself.

The company is based in Ospel, in the Dutch province of Limburg, and had about 90 employees.

Those employees face losing their jobs, though the company’s services are continuing for now.

It provides passenger, hospital and school transport in North and Central Limburg.

The cause of the bankruptcy has not been made public.

The curator and company directors are due to discuss its future on Tuesday.
