Flávio Bolsonaro says he will lead Brazil's opposition from the US

Flávio Bolsonaro says he will lead Brazil's opposition from the United States after losing the presidential election to incumbent Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

Bolsonaro received nearly 60 million votes, while Lula received more than 64 million.

Bolsonaro says he does not accept the election result, though international observers said the vote was fair and he provided no evidence for his claims.

Brazil's Supreme Court had ordered him to hand in his passports by Tuesday afternoon as part of investigations into alleged money laundering, corruption and tax evasion.

He left Brazil after that order, saying he feared the same treatment as his father, Jair Bolsonaro, who he said had been wrongly jailed.

From the US, he says he will lead the opposition, but the sources give no further details about what he plans to do next.
