H&M investigates claims of a possible cyber incident

H&M, the Swedish fashion retailer, is investigating claims that it was targeted in a cyber incident last week.

The claims are linked to a group called Shinyhunters.

H&M says the claims concern a limited scope of its data, but it has no indication so far that its data systems were compromised.

The company operates about 4,000 stores in more than 80 markets and owns brands including Cos, Weekday and Arket.

Shinyhunters has previously claimed involvement in other cyberattacks and has reportedly demanded ransom after a past attack on Ticketmaster.

The UK data watchdog had not received a report about the H&M incident by Monday lunchtime.

H&M says its investigation is ongoing and it cannot yet provide further details.
