Two young men found dead at rental in northern France

Two young men were found dead on 29 October at a rental property in Dourlers, in northern France.

A friend who had spent the evening with them called emergency services after finding them and trying to help; she was taken to hospital in shock.

Reports differ on one man's age: two give 19, while another says 20; all give the other's age as 21.

Investigators found regulated medicines at the property and are examining whether the deaths could be linked to toxic substances.

A medical examiner's initial findings ruled out direct involvement by another person but did not rule out poisoning.

The case is now being investigated as involuntary homicides, and autopsies, interviews and technical checks are planned to establish what happened.
