CU's QR help service for customers with mobility needs reaches 3,000 uses

South Korean convenience store chain CU says its QR help service has reached 3,000 uses in about five months.

The service is for people with disabilities and older customers who may need help at a store.

They scan a QR code on the entrance door with a smartphone to ask staff for assistance.

No app installation or phone call is needed, making it easier to request help.

Use of the service rose from about 200 requests in June to about 900 in October.

CU also offers other services to support access and independence for people with disabilities, including help with shopping and employment support.

The company says it will keep improving the convenience of its stores for customers.
