Seven Arrested After Air Force Member Is Shot With Arrow in Makassar

A group shot an arrow at an Indonesian Air Force member as he rode a motorcycle home in Makassar, South Sulawesi.

The attack happened early on October 25 in Panakkukang district, and the arrow struck his lower abdomen near the groin.

He was taken to a nearby hospital and then referred to Pelamonia Hospital.

Police say the attack was linked to revenge after an earlier brawl, and the group was looking for rivals.

Officers arrested seven people in connection with the attack, including four minors.

Police also said two adults were suspected of helping make the bows, and seized an arrow and a slingshot.

The suspects face charges under Indonesia’s criminal code, with maximum prison terms of up to nine years under one of the cited provisions.
