Netflix revived Tom Ellis's Lucifer twice after Fox cancelled it
Fox cancelled Lucifer after three seasons when it failed to attract enough viewers.
The fantasy series stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar, the devil living in Los Angeles, where he works with LAPD detective Chloe Decker.
Netflix picked up the show for a fourth season in 2018, after fans campaigned to save it.
The streamer then renewed it for a fifth season and later for a sixth, which was billed as the final season.
Lucifer ended in 2021 with six seasons and 93 episodes.
On Netflix, the show moved away from its case-of-the-week format and gave more space to longer stories about Lucifer's relationships, family and role in Hell.
The move let the series explore darker themes and bigger fantasy stories than it had on network TV.
