Insta360 launches cheaper wireless Mic with color screens and microSD storage
Insta360 has introduced a lower-priced wireless microphone, called the Insta360 Mic, as a middle option between its Mic Pro and budget Mic Air.
The new microphone keeps the Mic Pro’s customizable color E Ink screen and can connect to compatible Insta360 cameras and other devices through a receiver.
A bundle with two transmitters, a receiver and a charging case costs $249.99, compared with $329.99 for a similar Mic Pro bundle.
The main trade-off is that the new Mic has one microphone element, so it offers only omnidirectional sound pickup rather than the Mic Pro’s choice of pickup patterns.
Unlike the Mic Pro, it has no built-in storage, but a microSD card enables backup recording; the card is sold separately.
Insta360 says battery life is up to 13 hours, or up to 34 hours with the charging case, compared with up to 10 hours for the Mic Pro transmitters.
The new Mic is also available individually and in other bundles, though the sources list slightly different prices for those options.
Insta360 announced a lower-priced wireless microphone called the Insta360 Mic on October 22, 2026.
It retains a customizable color E Ink display and noise-canceling features found on the Mic Pro.
The main trade-off is that it has one microphone instead of the Mic Pro’s three-microphone array, so it offers only omnidirectional pickup.
The transmitters can use microSD cards for backup recording, while the Mic Pro has 32GB of built-in storage.
