Samsung’s S95H OLED and R95H MicroRGB TVs offer different strengths
Samsung’s S95H OLED and R95H MicroRGB TVs were assessed in separate reviews, with each offering a different display technology.
The S95H no longer includes Samsung’s One Connect box, so devices plug directly into the TV, which makes setup simpler but leaves the set thicker than its predecessor.
Its four HDMI ports include support for gaming at 165 Hz, and it also supports Wi-Fi 6E.
In testing, the S95H handled dark scenes well after the reviewer enabled AI Optimized picture mode, though its Tizen software was described as difficult to navigate.
The R95H uses MicroRGB backlighting, and its anti-glare screen and vivid colors were praised, alongside gaming features and low input lag.
The reviewer said it was not as bright as some rival RGB TVs, but found its color natural and its design suited to a living room.
Samsung’s S95H OLED and R95H MicroRGB televisions offer different advantages, according to reviews published by Wired and Tom’s Guide.
Wired found that the S95H handled dark scenes in the film Awake well when its AI Optimized picture mode was enabled.
Tom’s Guide praised the R95H’s anti-glare screen, vivid color and gaming features, while noting that it is not the brightest RGB Mini-LED television.
The S95H does not require or include Samsung’s One Connect box, while the R95H review lists the box among its features.
Tom’s Guide listed the tested 65-inch R95H at $3,199.99, with a sale price of $2,799.99 at the time of its review.

What people are saying
I actually preferred not using the One Connect.
The Samsung R95H is not the brightest RGB Mini-LED you can buy, but its anti-glare screen, wide color gamut, and low gaming lag make it a fantastic TV for your living room.
