Sandra Hüller has reportedly joined Avengers: Doomsday in a cameo role.
The German actor is known for films including Anatomy of a Fall and The Zone of Interest, and for playing Eva Stratt in Project Hail Mary.
Marvel has not revealed who she will play, or how her character fits into the story.
The film features heroes including the Avengers, X-Men and Fantastic Four facing Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr. The movie is due in cinemas on December 18, 2026, and Marvel is expected to reveal more about it at the MLB World Series.
The directors, Joe and Anthony Russo, are in post-production, and the film is also expected to set up Avengers: Secret Wars, scheduled for December 2027.
