BYD Unveils Yangwang Altior Luxury Electric Sedan in Abu Dhabi
BYD’s Yangwang brand unveiled the Altior at an event in Abu Dhabi.
The 5.6-metre electric sedan has four seats and is designed to compete with high-end models from brands such as Rolls-Royce.
Its cabin combines luxury materials with comfort features, including massage seats, two refrigerators and a 39-speaker sound system.
Four independently controlled motors let the car turn in place, while BYD says it can float in an emergency if it enters water.
BYD claims the battery can deliver more than 1,000 kilometres of range, measured using China’s CLTC test cycle.
A limited-edition version is available for pre-order in China for 2.08 million yuan, or about $311,500.
Prices for other versions and detailed charging specifications have not yet been announced.
