What people are saying
We need to reflect so that regional autonomy truly produces a more equitable, sustainable, rapid and effective social and economic welfare development agenda.
The central government certainly has a responsibility to uphold the principle of national interest. But at the same time, it must not diminish the rights of regional communities to public services and other basic needs.
The most important thing is how to ensure every government programme addresses people’s basic needs.
Without regional governments, central policies cannot be implemented optimally.
