Ramaswamy Faces a Tougher Ohio Governor Race Than Republicans Expected

Vivek Ramaswamy is running for Ohio governor as the Republican candidate, backed by President Donald Trump.

His Democratic opponent is Amy Acton, a former state health chief making her first run for office.

Trump endorsed Ramaswamy soon after he launched his campaign, helping discourage other prominent Republicans from entering the race.

Polls show Acton ahead in a close contest, raising concerns among Republicans in a state Trump has won by eight to 11 points in his presidential campaigns.

Ramaswamy’s ties to Trump, hardline positions and support for data centers have become potential liabilities with some Ohio voters.

Ramaswamy and his allies have spent $101 million on ads, about three times what Acton and her supporters have spent, while Acton’s ads have attacked his wealth and business record.

A Democratic rebound in Ohio could put the state back on the map for candidates in the 2028 presidential race.

We don’t know what happened between Amy and her mother, who first spoke out about Amy in 2020, but we know that Amy Acton is a serial fabulist who has some serious problems with the truth that the public needs to be aware of before deciding who to entrust as governor.
