F1 on Apple TV adds Dolby Atmos sound for US Grand Prix

Apple says F1 races on Apple TV will gain Dolby Atmos sound starting with the U.S. Grand Prix in Austin, Texas.

The race weekend runs from October 23 to 25, 2026.

Apple TV has been the exclusive home of F1 in the United States since March under a five-year partnership.

The service includes all races with a subscription at no extra cost.

Dolby Atmos adds spatial sound to the existing Dolby Vision picture format.

To hear it, viewers need the Apple TV app on a supported Apple device and compatible Dolby-enabled TV and audio equipment.

The new sound format begins with the Austin race, with no later rollout details given.
