Xiaomi unveils 3L smart rice cooker with variable pressure
Xiaomi has opened preorders in China for its Mijia Smart Variable Pressure Rice Cooker 3L, priced at 1,499 yuan.
The cooker is scheduled to go on sale on October 30.
Its 3-liter capacity is designed to make about two to ten bowls of rice.
Four pressure modes let it use different settings for white rice and tougher mixed grains, which Xiaomi says do not need pre-soaking.
A 14-minute quick mode is available for small portions, though automatic pressure release adds to the total time.
