Baebang-eup celebrates reaching 100,000 residents

Baebang-eup in Asan celebrated reaching 100,000 residents with a cultural event held over three days, from October 23 to 25.

The event took place near the township’s administrative welfare center and featured performances by local artists, along with activities and exhibits for families.

Environmental activities included a cleanup and a green concert, linked to a carbon-neutral plogging day.

Organizers also unveiled a monument marking the population milestone and held a celebration for the 100,000th resident.

The milestone reflects the township’s population growth, which its head credited to residents’ interest and efforts.

The township head said he would work with residents and provide support to help make Baebang-eup a better place to live.
