Busan hosts five-day forum on Asian bond markets and sustainable finance
The ASEAN+3 bond market forum opened in Busan on November 2 for five days.
About 150 finance officials and industry representatives from South Korea and abroad are attending.
ASEAN+3 brings together Southeast Asian countries with South Korea, China and Japan, and its bond market forum was set up in 2010.
This year's theme is building a sustainable “blue city”, with discussion of finance that can support a more sustainable maritime industry.
Sessions will examine digital bonds, carbon trading and cross-border payments, as well as wider sustainable finance policies.
A separate seminar will consider risks from financial digitalisation and how artificial intelligence could affect financial stability.
Busan says the event will help expand its international finance network and strengthen cooperation in maritime and digital finance.
