iNNova TV launches free streaming service in Brazil

Brazil has a new free streaming service, iNNova TV, offering live channels and on-demand content.

It combines continuous programming with a library viewers can choose from, as well as three radio stations.

The platform carries 43 linear channels, according to one account, while another says it has 35.

Its on-demand library includes about 1,500 films and series, which the company says will be added gradually over the coming months.

The service is funded mainly by advertising, rather than monthly subscriptions, and is intended to provide a legal option as streaming costs rise.

It also aims to give Brazilian and independent productions more ways to reach viewers.

The company plans to add four or five channels each month, and says it may later offer premium channels or pay-per-view events; no sports competitions have been confirmed.
