Michael Palin may stop international travel after exhaustion and fall

Michael Palin, an 83-year-old actor and writer who became known for travel documentaries, is unsure whether he will travel abroad for work again.

He says long journeys have become physically exhausting, especially delays and other difficulties of air travel.

Palin was speaking while promoting a new book about the Philippines, where his recent trip left him very tired.

He may still travel within the UK for work, but says international trips are less certain.

A fall at home fractured three ribs and his pelvis, prompting him to cancel his book tour and other planned events.

Ticket holders will be contacted about rescheduled dates when they are available.

Palin says recovering from the fractures will take a long time, particularly at his age.
