Hyundai Steel launches H-beam brand as firms certify modular building system

Hyundai Steel has launched H ONE, a single brand covering its rolled and welded H-beams, which are steel beams shaped like the letter H. The company says the brand will help it offer products suited to large buildings such as AI data centers and semiconductor factories, where projects can require different sizes and structural performance.

Rolled beams are made from a single piece of steel, while welded beams can be designed for large or non-standard shapes.

Hyundai Steel plans to support projects from early design checks through product selection, supply and technical assistance.

Separately, Hyundai Steel and Hyundai Engineering developed a connection system for stacking and joining factory-made steel building modules.

The system has received technical certification from the Korea Society of Steel Construction and is designed to improve structural safety and on-site assembly.

Hyundai Engineering plans to expand its use of off-site construction technology in data centers and industrial buildings.
