Metrobús crash in Insurgentes causes disruption as Mexico City routes face delays

A motorcycle hit a Metrobús on Line 1 near Insurgentes in Mexico City's Cuauhtémoc borough.

The bus was heading toward Indios Verdes when the rider entered a blind spot and struck its left side, according to onboard camera footage.

The rider and all passengers were reported unhurt, and the bus was emptied as a precaution while staff handled the incident.

Separately, Metro lines 3 and 7 had slow service, while passengers also reported delays on Line B; the Metro said it was working to speed up trains.

Metrobús had maintenance-related changes, including a closure at Canela on Line 2 and at Tenayuca on Line 3, while Line 6 service was restored after work was completed.

The service updates said the Metro was trying to normalize train movement, but gave no timeline for when all disruptions would end.
